Igor Pelih

Date of Birth: 03.02.1974
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Ternopil. I completed the eighth grade at School No. 18, after which I joined Vocational School No. 3 at my father's recommendation. There I learned the profession of 'Shoe Repair Master' and worked for a year and a half in the factory.
Career. Alongside studying and working, Igor Pelih played bass guitar in the band 'Nameless'. As music did not bring in income, he had to work as a cigarette seller.
In the mid-1990s, he became a presenter at TRC 'Takt', worked at Gosteleradiokompany and later at the radio station 'Ternopil'.
In 1997, he began working at the radio station 'Stolitsa' and later with Channel 1 + 1. From the end of 2000, Igor worked at ICTV as the website administrator of the channel and later as a presenter and producer. He became known through projects such as 'Hoppin' Around Europe', 'On My Own Head', 'Labyrinth'.
He died on May 8, 2009, in a car accident on Victory Avenue in Kyiv.
Family. Together with his wife Alexandra, he raised three children: son Ivan and daughters Solomiya and Ustya.
In an interview where he answered the question of whom he was grateful to in life, Igor Pelih said: 'To my parents for giving me life, God for health, and also to my wife, her parents, friends, business partners, teachers, lecturers, and others.'
'I cannot say that I disliked anything in my life. In fact, I liked everything,' he added.
