Marina Anatoliivna Poroshenko - Ukrainian cardiologist, candidate of medical sciences. Chairperson of the Board of the Petro Poroshenko Charitable Foundation. Wife of the fifth President of Ukraine. Since December 2020 - deputy of Kyiv City Council from the European Solidarity party.
Place of birth. Education. Born on February 1, 1962, in Kyiv. Father, Anatolii Mykhailovych Perevеденцев, worked as Deputy Minister of Health of the Ukrainian SSR.
Graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute. Candidate of medical sciences, author of the first dissertation in independent Ukraine.
Career. After graduating from the institute, she worked as a doctor in the cardiology department of the October Clinical Hospital in Kyiv. After the birth of her first son, she resigned from her job and fully dedicated herself to her family.
Since 1998 - chairperson of the Petro Poroshenko Charitable Foundation.
On January 19, 2018, Minister of Culture Yevhen Nyshchuk appointed Marina Poroshenko as chairperson of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
On December 16, 2019, Marina Poroshenko submitted a statement of voluntary termination of her powers as chairperson of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
Political career. In September 2020, Marina Poroshenko headed the list of the European Solidarity party in the elections to the Kyiv City Council. According to the election results, European Solidarity entered the Kyiv City Council, gaining 20.52% of the votes.
Since December 2020 - deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the European Solidarity party. Chair of the permanent commission of the Kyiv City Council on health care and social policy.
Family. Father - Perevеденцев Anatolii Mykhailovych (1933-2020), Deputy Minister of Health of the Ukrainian SSR, advisor to the Soviet ambassador in Mongolia (1985-1988).
Mother - Perevеденцева Liudmyla Mykhailivna (1936-2020), worked at the 'Arsenal' factory.
Sister - Zernetska Alla Anatoliivna, associate professor at the National Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Dragomanov.
Husband - Petro Oleksiiovych Poroshenko, fifth President of Ukraine. During her studies, she met a student of Kyiv State University Petro Poroshenko, a year later in 1984, she married him.
They have four children: the eldest son - Oleksii Petrovych Poroshenko (born in 1985). Daughter-in-law - Yuliia Alikhanova, top manager of McKinsey & Company consulting firm. The wedding took place on September 7, 2013. Grandson Petr Poroshenko (born in 2014), granddaughter Yelyzaveta (born in 2016).
Son - Mykhailo (born in 2001).
Daughters - Yevheniia (born in 2000) and Oleksandra (born in 2000). Godparents of Yevheniia and Oleksandra - Viktor Yushchenko and Oksana Belozor.
The family lives in their private house in the Koncha-Zaspa area.
