Gennadi Samofalov

Gennadi Grigorievich Samofalov – Military, former people's deputy of Ukraine.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Tula (Russia). In 1971, he graduated from the Leningrad Higher Military Political School of Air Defense (specialization - Politician). In 1978, he graduated from the Moscow Military Political Academy named after V. Lenin.

Career. 1961-1966 - Turner at the Tula Arms Plant.

1966-1967 - Military service in the army.

1971-1975 - Service in political positions in military units of the Moscow Military District of Air Defense.

1978-1982 - Head of the political department of a regiment in the Siberian Military District.

1982-1989 - Chairman of the Kemerovo Regional Committee of the Volunteer Organization for Support of the Army, Air Force, and Navy (DOSAAF).

1989-1994 - Chairman of the Donetsk Regional Committee of DOSAAF.

1994-1998 - People's Deputy of Ukraine in the II Convocation.

In 1998, he retired from the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the rank of Major General.

1998-2002 - Executive Director of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Fund Profi.

2002-2006 - People’s Deputy of Ukraine in the IV Convocation (elected to the Verkhovna Rada under No. 29 of the Block For a United Ukraine!). Member of the Committee for European Integration. Member of the Regions of Ukraine faction.

2006-2007 - People's Deputy of Ukraine in the V Convocation of the Party of Regions (No. 100 on the electoral list). Member of the Committee for European Integration.

2007-2012 - People's Deputy of Ukraine in the VI Convocation of the Party of Regions (No. 178 on the list). Deputy faction leader of the PR. Member of the Health Committee.

In the fall of 2012, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada of the VII Convocation from the Party of Regions, but his No. 112 on the list turned out to be unviable.

Member of the Party of Regions.

Awards. Awarded with 2 orders and 8 medals. Honored Economist of Ukraine.
