Anatoly Shapovalov

Date of Birth: 01.03.1952

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Potashnya in the Vinnytsia region. In 1974, he graduated from the Odessa Institute of National Economy with a specialization in 'Finance and Credit' (Qualification: Economist).

Career. 1968-1970 - Worker at the Berschad sugar factory, 1970 - Instructor of the Berschad District Council of the voluntary sports cooperative union 'Kolos'.

After graduating from the institute in 1974, - Credit Inspector at the branch of the Savings Bank of the USSR in Shmerinka, Vinnytsia region.

After his military service, in 1976, - Deputy Head of the Legal Affairs Office, Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Regional Industrial Bank of the USSR in Vinnytsia.

1976-1985 - Economist at the Sberbank branch in Sverdlovsk, Vuhledar region (Luhansk region), Head of the Sberbank branch in the village of Belokurakino, Head of the Sberbank branch in Lysychansk in the Vuhledar region.

1985-1987 - Deputy Director of the Vuhledar Regional Industrial Bank of the USSR.

1987-1991 - Head of the Credit Bank Department of the State Industrial Construction and Banking of the USSR in the Vuhledar region.

1991-1994 - Head of the Luhansk Regional Office of the State Trade Industry and Construction Bank of Ukraine, Head of the Luhansk Regional Office of the Ukrainian Joint Stock Trading and Investment Bank (Prominvestbank of Ukraine).

1994-2000 - Deputy Chairman of the Board (Vladimir Matvienko) - Head of the Credit Regulation and Settlement Unit, Deputy Chairman of the Board - Head of the Main Operational Unit, Deputy Chairman of the Board - Director of the International Department, Deputy Chairman of the Board - Director of the Liabilities Department of 'Prominvestbank'.

2000-2002 - First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Vladymyr Stelmach.

2002-2003 - Chairman of the Board of OJSC 'Derzhavny Oshchadny Bank of Ukraine' (Oshchadbank).

May-July 2003 - Advisor to the Head of the National Bank of Ukraine NBU Sergey Tigipko.

From July 2003 to February 2005 - Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Nikolay Azarov.

From February 2005 to September 2010 - First Deputy Head of the NBU Vladymyr Stelmach. On September 1, 2010, Sergey Arbuzov was appointed to this position.

Awards. Awarded the Order 'For Merit' Class III (2002). Honored Economist of Ukraine.
