Biography of Oksana Slyusarenko

Date of Birth: 22.04.1962

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Odessa. In 1984, she graduated from the Faculty of Organization of Mechanized Processing of Economic Information at Odessa Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Engineering Economics. She received her Ph.D. in Economic Sciences (1998) and the title of Professor (2003).

Career.

  • 1984-1989 - Engineer of the Research Department, Assistant of the Department, PhD student at Odessa Polytechnic Institute.
  • 1989-1993 - Head of the Advertising and Information Department, Director of a Travel Agency, Economic Advisor to the President of the Odessa International Innovation Center (AO Uskoreniye).
  • 1993-1996 - Doctoral student at Odessa National University.
  • 1995-1998 - President of the Odessa International Innovation Center (AO Innovent).
  • 1998-1999 - Leading Researcher at the Council for the Study of Productive Forces of Ukraine, National Academy of Sciences.
  • 1999-2002 - First Deputy Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Board of JSC Credit Guarantee Institution.
  • 2002-2003 - Head of the Department of Financial Institutions and Markets of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
  • From August 2003 to February 2005 - Advisor to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.
  • 2005-2007 - Vice-Rector for Research, Rector of the Ukrainian Academy of Business and Entrepreneurship.
  • In March 2007, she became the Deputy Minister of Economy Anatoliy Kinakh. Worked for just over a month with the new Minister of the Ministry of Economy Bohdan Danilishin.
  • On January 31, 2008, she was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Representative of President Viktor Yushchenko in the Verkhovna Rada. On October 6, 2008, she was dismissed 'due to transition to another job'.
  • Since December 1, 2008 - Supervisor and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Montenegro.
  • On March 31, 2014, acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov relieved Oksana Slyusarenko of her duties as Supervisor and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Montenegro.
  • Since 2014 - Vice President of the Ukrainian National Committee of ICC for the Balkan Region.
