Svetlana Walentynowna Tolstoukhova - was the Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports.

Place of birth. Education. She was born on September 20, 1956. She graduated from Oryol State Pedagogical University and Donetsk State University. Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor.

Career. She began her career in 1978 as a history and English teacher in schools in the Donetsk region.

Since 1992, she worked as a history teacher at Kyiv Gymnasium No. 298.

In 1993, she started working at the Ukrainian State Center for Social Services for Youth.

From 1999 to 2006, she served as the director of the State Center for Social Services for Youth, Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Family, Children and Youth, and Director of the State Social Service for Family, Children and Youth.

Since December 27, 2006 - Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports (Juriy Pavlenko, Viktor Korzh, Rawil Safiullin).

On December 28, 2010, she was dismissed by the decree of President Viktor Yanukovych in connection with administrative reform.

Social activity. Since 1999, she has been the chairwoman of the All-Ukrainian social organization “League of Social Workers of Ukraine”, the Social Work Foundation. Founder of the National Social Advertising Festival, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Social Work”.

Awards. Honored Worker of the Social Sphere of Ukraine (2003).

Awarded the Order of Princess Olga III degree (1999) and II degree (2008).

In 2008, she ranked 73rd in the ranking of “100 Most Influential Women in Ukraine” by the magazine “Focus” (as noted by the creators, her influence was the result of years of experience in public service and connections in the government).

Family. Husband - Anatoliy Tolstoukhov, former minister in the Office of the Prime Ministers of Ukraine in the government of Viktor Yanukovych (2003-2005, 2006-2007) and Mykola Azarov (March-December 2010). Sons - Oleksiy and Valentyn. She has a grandson.
