Viktor Vakarash

Biography

Date of Birth: 08.09.1957

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Novaya Sindjereya, Lasovsky District, Moldavian SSR. In 1985, he graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Economics named after D.S. Korotchenko with a major in Economic Planning. In 2003, he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of State Administration under the President of Ukraine with a master's degree in Public Administration.

Career. He began his professional career in 1975 as a lathe operator in a sugar factory.

1975-1981 - Service in the Soviet Army and studying at a military educational institution.

1981-1989 - Working in managerial and engineering positions at the Ministry of Construction of the USSR.

1989-2005 - Deputy, First Deputy Head of the State Administrations of the Soviet and Shevchenko districts in Kyiv.

2005-2006 - Head of the Main Department of Housing of the Kyiv City Administration.

2006-2009 - First Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional Administration under Vera Ulyanchenkо.

From September 2009 to March 2010 - Head of the Kyiv Regional Administration.

2010-2013 - National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine: Director of the Teaching, Research and Innovation Center, Pro-Rector, Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Sociology and Rural Development.

2013-2014 - Deputy Head of the Business Department of BROKBUSINESSBANK PJSC.

2014-2015 - Advisor to the Minister in the Cabinet of Ukraine, Head of the Economic and Financial Department of the Cabinet Secretariat of Ukraine.

2015-2016 - Head of the HR Department of LLC 'Milkland'.

From 2016 to September 2019 - Advisor to the Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Deputy Minister and Head of the Minister's Office, Deputy Minister.
