Konstantin Alexandrovich Vashchenko - Ukrainian civil servant and scholar, Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. Civil servant of the 1st rank. Honored Economist of Ukraine.

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (since January 19, 2022).

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Tula (Russia). In 1995, he graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 1998, he graduated from the Northwest Academy of Public Administration (St. Petersburg, Russia). Doctor of Political Science.

Career. 1993-1994 - Specialist of the 1st category in the Information and Analytical Management of the Ukrainian Ministry of Nationalities and Migration.

1994-1996 - Assistant and advisor to the Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Yemets.

In 1996, he was a freelance advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine on issues of political and legal affairs.

1996-1998 - Chief Advisor of the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

1998-2001 - Head of the Department of Legal International Service, Assistant and Advisor to the Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

2001-2002 - Head of Department, Deputy Director of the State Service for Youth and Family Policy of the State Committee for Youth, Sport and Tourism.

2002-2003 - First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Family and Youth Issues - Director of the State Service for Youth Policy.

2003-2007 - First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship.

2007-2009 - Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship.

2009-2010 - Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the National Pedagogical University 'Dragomanov'.

From May 19, 2010, to April 6, 2011, he was the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine Vasily Nadraga, then Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Social Policy Sergey Tigipko. Dismissed due to the restructuring of the ministry.

Since June 30, 2011, he has been the First Vice-President of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.

From July 10, 2014, to September 2019, he was the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Public Service.

From September 25, 2019, to 2020 - Secretary of State of the Ministry of Finance.

From July 2020 to 2021 - Secretary of State of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.

On January 19, 2022, he was appointed Secretary of State of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Family. Vashchenko is married and has one son.

Hobbies. Writing songs, intellectual games, football.
