Biography of Alexei Borisovich Zarudny

Alexei Borisovich Zarudny - Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (2007-2010, 2014-2018).

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Moscow. In 2000, he graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Tourism, Economics and Law.

Career. He began his professional career in 1989 in Kyiv as a bailiff at the Moscow District Court. From November 1991, he worked in the Ukrainian Republican Office of the Pension Fund of the USSR, which later became the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

From 1991 to 1994, he was a specialist of the I category, a lawyer of the I category, a senior inspector, and Deputy Head of the Legal Department.

From September 1994 to January 2006, he was Vice President of the Association for the Development of Non-State Social Security Systems in Kyiv. From February 1996 to September 2006, Alexei Zarudny worked at the Pension Fund of Ukraine as Head of the Legal Department, Head of the Legal Department, and Deputy Chairman of the Board. In 2007-2008, he was a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the VI convocation from Yulia Tymoshenko, No. 166 on the list.Member of Yulia Tymoshenko's faction.Member of the Committee on Social Policy and Labor.

From December 2007 to March 2010, Alexei Zarudny served as Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. From December 2010 to December 2014, he was the Chairman of the LLC 'Ukrainian Independent Innovation Consulting Company'.

From August to December 2014, he headed the Council of the Public Organization New Social Choice. On December 17, 2014, he was appointed Chairman of the Pension Fund of Ukraine by decree of the Ukrainian government. On October 31, 2018, Alexei Zarudny was relieved of his position as Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine by decision of the Ukrainian government.

Author of publications on pension issues in Ukraine. Participated in the development of the main pension laws - on mandatory state pension insurance and on non-state pension provision.Family. Married. Has a son and a daughter.
