Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Pologi in the Vasylkiv district of Kyiv Oblast. In 1986, she graduated from the Belozersky Agricultural Institute with a degree in Animal Science. In 1992, she obtained her degree from the Faculty of Biology of Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute. Candidate of Biological Sciences. Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.
Career. From 1986 to 1994, she was the chief zoologist and chairwoman of the collective farm (later - agricultural enterprise) in the village of Kovalivka in the Vasylkiv district near Kyiv.
1994-1998 Chairwoman of the board of the agricultural company Svetanok, which was founded on the basis of the collective farm named after Shchors. Deputy in the Kyiv Regional Council.
1998-2002 Member of the Supreme Council of Ukraine of the III convocation. Member of the Labor Ukraine faction and the Supreme Council Committee on Agricultural Policy and Land Relations (as in the following convocations of the Parliament). Member of the Agrarian Party of Ukraine.
2002-2006 Member of the Supreme Council of Ukraine of the IV convocation. She began in the faction United Ukraine, which was created on the basis of the support of President Leonid Kuchma's election block For a United Ukraine! Then, she became part of the united faction of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine and Labor Ukraine, in the Union group.
In 2004, she joined the Agrarian Party of Ukraine and became its chairwoman. In November 2005, she switched to the Party of Regions faction, resigned from the position of chair of SelPU, and received a party membership card from the 'Regions'. Since then, Zasukha's political orientation has not changed.
2006-2007 Member of the Supreme Council of Ukraine of the V convocation.
From November 2007 to December 2012 - Member of the Supreme Council of Ukraine of the VI convocation.
In the fall of 2012, she ran for the Supreme Council of Ukraine VII convocation on the list of the Party of Regions, but her place on the list (No. 94) turned out to be infeasible.
Business. Tatyana Zasukha heads the agricultural company 'Svetanok', which is based in the village of Kovalivka in the Vasylkiv district of Kyiv Oblast. The company leases about 45,000 hectares of land in Kyiv and Zhytomyr Oblasts from 13,000 landlords.
Awards. Awarded the Order of Merit II and I degree (1998 and 2001). In August 2003, she received the title Heroine of Ukraine (with the award of the state order).
Family. Married, has a son Andrei (born 1986). Husband Anatoly Zasukha (born 1958) - former governor of Kyiv Oblast. After the Orange Revolution, the new government initiated criminal proceedings against him (for abuse of power, etc.). He hid from the Ukrainian judiciary in Russia and claimed that the motives for prosecution were purely political.
In the summer of 2006, there were reports in domestic media that Anatoly Zasukha was working as deputy governor of Moscow under Borja Gromov. According to his wife, he maintains relations with other compatriots who also fled after the change of power in 2005 - the former head of Naftogaz Ukraine and the state agency Igor Bakai and the former governor of Odesa Oblast and mayor of Odesa Ruslan Bodelan. Returned to Ukraine in 2008.
