In Vinnytsia, there are plans to make two parallel streets one-way

Traffic on Vasyl Stus Street will move from Pirohov Street to Stepan Bandera Street, while traffic on Otamanovskyi Street will go in the opposite direction.

This decision has been made to reduce traffic load and improve conditions for people with disabilities and the safety of children who study in schools and kindergartens on these streets.

“Every day, many children cross these streets on their way to school, and a large number of parked cars and intense traffic create additional risks for them. Parents are concerned that children have to look for a safe passage between cars that constantly change direction. In addition, often cars cannot pass in both directions, complicating the situation,” explained Andriy Sorokin, the director of the transport and urban mobility department.

One of the arguments for implementing such changes is the location of the medical rehabilitation center on Vasyl Stus Street, which provides assistance to people with disabilities and those affected by the Chernobyl disaster.

These changes will enhance the safety of children and facilitate traffic. They will also improve the operation of public transport, which often faces difficulties due to traffic jams and narrow roadways.

Introducing one-way traffic on the streets of Vinnytsia will optimize road traffic and improve the quality of life for city residents.
