Authorities Strengthened Evacuation Measures in One of the Districts of Kharkiv Region.
Authorities of Kupiansk District Enhance Measures for Population Evacuation
Due to frequent shelling of the Kupiansk district in the Kharkiv region, the authorities decided to strengthen measures for the evacuation of the population. This was announced by the head of Kharkiv OMA, Oleh Syniehubov.
During a meeting involving the heads of Kupiansk RDA and MBA, the heads of the Main Directorate of the National Police and the SBU Office in the region, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service decided to strengthen measures for the evacuation of the population. According to the head of Kharkiv OMA, over 4,000 residents live in the Kupiansk community, many of them elderly. The authorities urge them to relocate to safe regions and promise support.
The head of Kharkiv OMA also noted that mandatory evacuation was announced in the villages of Izyumske and Bohuslavka of the Borivska community in the Kharkiv region. This decision was made on October 7.
It is worth mentioning that Kupiansk and adjacent territories are actively shelled by the enemy. The infrastructure has suffered significant destruction and damage due to the shelling.
Recently, Russian military struck the Kupiansk district, as well as other areas of the Kharkiv region. A 73-year-old woman was injured as a result of the shelling.
Notably, in the Sumy region, a forced evacuation from 90 localities for children and their parents has also been introduced.
