For drivers to note: what the unclear sticker under the hood near the headlights signifies.

Many drivers do not understand the meaning of the sticker with a headlight and percentage figures, which is located under the hood of their cars.
This information is rarely found in car operation manuals.
Experts explain that this sticker relates to the "dipping of the main headlight beam" - a parameter that determines how the height of the light beam changes during vehicle movement. For example, if the sticker indicates 1.3%, it means that for every meter of distance the beam drops 13 cm below the base level.
This indicator is important for driving safety. Incorrectly adjusted headlights can lead to blinding oncoming drivers or limiting road visibility.
Thanks to this information, you can independently check the headlight settings by measuring the distance to the wall and calculating the necessary light dip.
Measurements should be carried out on an empty vehicle and with the headlight adjuster set to its maximum position to get the most accurate result.
