According to updated information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of August 31, 2024, Russia has suffered significant losses from Ukrainian forces.
Russia's losses as of August 31, 2024
As of August 31, Russia has lost:
- about 614,950 personnel (an increase of 1,360 people),
- 8,582 tanks (an increase of 8 units),
- 16,736 combat armored vehicles (an increase of 14 units),
- 17,614 artillery systems (an increase of 42 units),
- 1,176 multiple launch rocket systems (an increase of 1 unit),
- 940 air defense systems (no change),
- 368 aircraft (no change),
- 328 helicopters (no change),
- 14,471 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles (an increase of 18 units),
- 2,557 cruise missiles (an increase of 1 unit),
- 28 ships/boats (no change),
- 1 submarine (no change),
- 23,825 vehicles and fuel trucks (an increase of 62 units),
- 2,977 special transport vehicles (an increase of 10 units).
Occupiers' fleet activity as of August 31:
- In the Black Sea, one enemy ship carrying "Kalibr" cruise missiles was registered and launched four missiles;
- In the Sea of Azov, no enemy ships were present;
- In the Mediterranean Sea, three enemy ships were registered, one of which carries "Kalibr" cruise missiles and launched eight missiles.
In the last 24 hours, the following passed through the Kerch Strait:
- Into the Black Sea - four vessels, one of which continued its journey towards the Bosphorus;
- Into the Sea of Azov - six vessels, two of which are traveling from the Bosphorus.
Currently, it is the 920th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
