Residents of frontline settlements in the Kharkiv region will have the opportunity to join the 'Basic Needs' project, which provides various amounts of financial assistance for medicines, equipment, or medical services for severely ill citizens.

The 'Basic Needs' project team has joined Caritas Kharkiv, which will allow even more citizens to receive support. Payments will be available in the Kharkiv region for the most vulnerable categories of individuals affected by the war.

Financial assistance includes:

  • multi-purpose cash assistance of 10,800 UAH per person for three months;
  • medical assistance of 9,000 UAH for severely ill individuals for three months.

Residents of frontline settlements in the Kharkiv region who wish to join the 'Basic Needs' project can learn about the conditions for receiving funds by calling the Caritas Ukraine hotline: 0800 336 734.

The Basic Needs project is implemented in cooperation with Caritas Ukraine, financed by Caritas Deutschland (Caritas Germany) and the Auswärtiges Amt (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany).
