The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine plans to implement a new technology in the 'Diia' application.

Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of an AI assistant that will simplify communication between citizens and government institutions as early as the first quarter of 2025. This was reported by 'Interfax-Ukraine'.

We are working on creating a certain assistant in 'Diia' that can use AI language, a specific AI agent that you can turn to if you have a problem interacting with the state.

The new assistant will be able to process voice inquiries, converting them into text and directing them to the relevant government agencies.

The launch of the AI assistant is part of Ukraine's digital transformation strategy. 'When it comes to artificial intelligence, we have an ambitious goal - to be among the top 3 countries in the world in integrating and using AI solutions by 2030,' noted Fedorov.

At the same Time, the minister called for realistic expectations, stating that the emergence of competitors like OpenAI or DeepSeek in Ukraine in 2025 is unlikely.

The project is being implemented as part of the AI Center of Excellence's activities - an international hub that will facilitate the implementation of artificial intelligence in Ukraine's public sector. In addition to the AI assistant, the ministry is also involved in other projects, including a fundraising platform, language media, BrayOne, and GovTech initiatives.
