The balances on the government's single treasury account exceeded 100 billion UAH, and more than 163 billion UAH is accrued in foreign currency accounts. This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. He also noted that the state budget for 2024 has been fulfilled, all necessary expenditures are financed, and social obligations are met. According to the State Treasury, all payments have been made, and the balances in the accounts are the largest in the history of Ukraine.

According to Shmyhal, about 2.2 trillion UAH in taxes, fees, and mandatory payments have been received into the state budget. In total, more than 3.1 trillion UAH has been received into the budget funds.

Shmyhal also reported on the government's fundraising efforts. For 2024, 41.7 billion dollars of external financial support have been attracted, one-third of which are non-repayable grants. The largest donors to Ukraine have been the European Union, the United States, the IMF, Japan, the World Bank, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In December, 9.3 billion dollars arrived in Ukraine. It is also worth noting that for the first Time, Russia has started compensating for the damages inflicted on Ukraine. Shmyhal considers the most important achievement of the year to be receiving the first tranche of 1 billion dollars through the World Bank's program initiated by the G7 for a total of 50 billion dollars. The task for the next year is to confiscate and transfer all frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.
