How many years of war will soldiers in Russia endure: forecast by General Naiev.
Former Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Serhiy Naiev, reported that Russia could start a full-scale war with Ukraine within the next eight to ten years. According to him, the Russian army currently has over two million personnel, of which one and a half million are military personnel. Additionally, about 400 thousand people signed contracts with the Russian armed forces in 2024, including 65 thousand former prisoners.
General Naiev also noted that the Russian army has created 15 territorial control regiments, and the formation of two motorized rifle divisions is underway. However, the Russian army has problems with equipment, as there is a lot of outdated equipment in their warehouses, which the Ukrainian defense forces are actively destroying. General Naiev warns that the geographical location of the terrain complicates the use of armored columns by Russian forces during assaults.
There are also active movements of Russian troops taking place in Donbas. In addition to the main directions previously reported, the occupiers have also approached the cities of Kreminna, Siversk, Toretsk, and Kurakhove. Losses among the Russian forces involved in 2024 have already exceeded 421 thousand killed and wounded.
