On Sunday, December 29, Russian troops tried to break through the front line near the villages of Hatyshche and Vovchansk, but both attacks were repelled. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.
Also, over the past day, there were seven attacks by Russian occupiers in the Kupyansk direction. The defense forces had to repel the enemy's assault attacks near Petropavlivka, Kucheryvka, and Lozova.
On the night of Monday, December 30, Russian troops attacked the Kharkiv region with Shahed-type drones. There were no casualties, but there was destruction.
At 23:15 in the village of Taranivka in the Chuhuiv district, a drone hit agricultural buildings on the territory of a private farm. As a result, a fire broke out, but it was extinguished by rescuers. There is no information about casualties.
At 23:20, drones attacked the city of Lyubotyn in the Kharkiv district. One drone was shot down, and the debris fell into an open area in a forest belt.
After midnight, at 00:05, an attack drone hit an open area near a road between the villages of Pechenihy and Kytsivka in the Chuhuiv district. There were no casualties.
In 44 populated areas of Kharkiv region, which are constantly threatened by shelling and combat actions, active evacuation continues. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleg Synegubov. He noted that it is impossible to restore electricity, water supply, and heating on the left bank due to the shelling of enemy repair crews.
Full mobilization of Russia against Ukraine possible for another eight to ten years
Former Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Serhii Naiev, stated that Russia may conduct a full-scale war against Ukraine for another eight to ten years, thanks to its mobilization resources. According to him, there are currently over two million people in the Russian army, of which one and a half million are servicemen. In 2024, approximately 400,000 more people will join the Russian Armed Forces, including 65,000 former prisoners.
