Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko was removed from the air of the Turkish state television channel due to an inscription on his T-shirt. He reported this on Telegram.

Today I was supposed to participate in a live broadcast of the Turkish state television channel TRT World, which broadcasts in English. But when they saw my T-shirt with the inscription 'Putin is the number one terrorist', everything changed - said the Member of Parliament.

Honcharenko explained that initially the channel asked him to change his T-shirt, but he refused:

At first they asked me to change my T-shirt. I refused. Then they started insisting: 'Well, we still ask you to change your T-shirt'. I simply said: either I go on air as I am, or I do not go on air at all. If that doesn’t suit you - refuse. And what happened? The broadcast was canceled - the politician said.

The Member of Parliament believes that this is not a defeat, but proof that the truth is unpleasant for many. They are ready to censor even an ordinary T-shirt to avoid hearing 'Putin is the number one terrorist'. But we will not be silenced. We will continue to call things by their names, even if someone doesn’t like it.

Earlier, Oleksiy Honcharenko got into a dispute with Russian propagandist Olga Skabeeva over a T-shirt with an inscription that displeased the Russian woman.

It all started with Honcharenko showing his photo, in which he poses in a white T-shirt with the inscription 'Less russian gas'. Honcharenko was noticed in such a T-shirt during a PACE session held in Strasbourg.
