Appointed by the occupiers, the mayor of Energodar resigns at the request of 'Rosatom'.

According to the announcement, Eduard Senovoz, who controlled the occupied Energodar, has resigned. He explains his decision by 'new tasks set by the company 'Rosenergoatom'.
A possible successor to Senovoz is Maxim Pukhov, who is currently the first deputy mayor.
Eduard Senovoz was born in Balakliia, Kharkiv region. He headed the company 'Smolensk NPP-Service', which belongs to 'Rosatom' and directly manages the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. In December 2022, he accepted the offer to head the illegal occupation 'administration' of Energodar.
In September 2023, Senovoz became a deputy of the 'Legislative Assembly' - an illegal body created by the occupation administration of the Zaporizhzhia region. He is also the president of the 'Smolensk Archery Federation'. Previously, he founded the company 'Stroyuniversal', registered in the city of Desnogorsk, Smolensk region, which was liquidated.
Maxim Pukhov, who may become Senovoz's successor, previously served as the mayor of the Russian city of Polarniye Zori, Murmansk region. Before his occupation activities, he worked in this city from 2013 and was a member of the 'United Russia' party and worked at the Kola NPP - a branch of 'Rosenergoatom'.
The occupation administration is expected to make a final decision on the new collaborator soon.
The Russian authorities continue to implement a strategy to remove local residents from leadership positions in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This was reported by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CPD).
Recent appointments are evidence of this trend: the former mayor of the city of Polarniye Zori in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation, Maxim Pukhov, became the first deputy head of occupied Energodar. The new archpastor Vladimir, who previously headed the Vladivostok and Primorsky dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church, became the head of the Donetsk and Mariupol dioceses of the Orthodox Church.
It is worth noting that in October 2024, a collaborator who held a leadership position at the Zaporizhzhia NPP was blown up in Energodar.
