In Warsaw, a man dragged a Ukrainian woman with his car and beat her. Anna, the victim of the attack, told the newspaper Wyborcza.pl about this incident. The woman from Ukraine had lived in Poland since 2018, initially studying and now working as a saleswoman. According to her, on December 29, she was in a parking lot and talking on the phone with her boyfriend. At that moment, a car that wanted to park ran into her. The woman did not notice the vehicle and got into an accident. The driver did not use the horn and collided with his full force into the woman. Then he got out and punched her in the face, insulting her because of her origin. After that, she sprayed pepper spray at the attacker, but he attacked her again, kicking her in the lower back. After this, her boyfriend came to her defense and they ran away from the attacker. However, when Anna went to the police, she was advised not to report the incident. Now she feels terrible and fears going out on the street.

"Previously, he insulted me because he didn't like my pronunciation. He said that I am Ukrainian and therefore I should go to Russia," Anna said.

Similar cases of violence against Ukrainians occur not only in Poland. In the Czech Republic, two Ukrainian women were beaten by men who asked about their origin. In the Polish village of Rokiciny, an illegal worker from Ukraine was killed and his body was attempted to be burned. In Germany, a Russian committed the murder of two Ukrainians, for which he was placed in pre-trial detention.
