A thaw is coming to Ukraine, but not for long: the forecaster warned about a change in weather on Valentine's Day.


Forecaster Natalia Didenko reported on the approach of a short-term warming in Ukraine.
According to her forecast, frosts are expected at night, while during the day there will be warming and a thaw.
'Due to the change of air masses, there may be health problems such as aches, pressure fluctuations, and drowsiness,' warned the forecaster.
On Friday, February 14, warm weather is expected in Ukraine with temperatures of +1 to +6 degrees (in the southern part +6 to +9 degrees).
At night, the temperature will drop to -5 to -12 degrees, with at least +1 to +3 degrees during the day. On Friday, a cold front will bring snow, especially to the western and northern regions, as well as partially to the central part of the country. No precipitation is expected in the south and east.
In Kyiv, snow is also expected on February 14, so drivers should be prepared for road and sidewalk cleaning. The wind will be gusty from the southwest.
On Saturday, February 15, heavy precipitation is possible in the east, south, and central regions of Ukraine - snow, sleet, and in the south, there may be rain.
After this weekend, cold frosty weather will return to Ukraine, with a chance to recover from the cold expected after February 25.
