Disconnection of 3G in Ukraine: who risks being left without high-speed internet.

NKEK begins the disconnection of 3G networks in Ukraine to improve the quality of communication
The National Commission for State Regulation of Electronic Communications, Frequency Spectrum, and Postal Services (NKEK) reported that this year the phased disconnection of 3G networks in Ukraine will begin.
This decision is aimed at optimizing the use of frequency resources and improving the quality of mobile communication.
According to the regulator, the transition process will be controlled and as comfortable as possible for users. Mobile operators are required to inform subscribers in advance about the date of 3G disconnection in a specific region and provide special offers for upgrading equipment.
It is important to note that the disconnection of 3G will not affect the ability to make voice calls and send SMS messages.
Owners of devices that support 4G/LTE technology do not need to take any additional actions. However, users of older phone models are advised to consider upgrading their devices.
For uninterrupted use of mobile internet, NKEK recommends configuring your devices for 4G operation now. The setup procedure is simple and varies depending on the smartphone's operating system.
Settings for Android users:
- Open 'Settings'- Go to the 'Connections' or 'Networks' section- Select 'Mobile Networks'- Find 'Network Type' or 'Network Mode'- Set the mode to '4G' or 'LTE'
Settings for iPhone owners:
- Open 'Settings'- Go to 'Cellular Data'- Activate 'Cellular Data', and the device will automatically connect to the available network.
