Mirage 2000 fighters arrived in Ukraine, Britain calls 'Ramstein'. Main news for February 6.


Ukraine has received the first Mirage 2000 fighters from France. The aircraft arrived with Ukrainian pilots on board who underwent training in France. The planes are being transferred from the French Air Force's warehouses and are adapted for the tasks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The transfer of Mirage 2000-5F was made possible thanks to agreements between the presidents of Ukraine and France. These aircraft are added to the list of military aid from France, alongside Caesar artillery systems and AMX-10RC armored vehicles.
Mirage 2000 is a French multirole fighter developed by Dassault Aviation. It is the main aircraft of the French Air Force and other countries. Mirages have been used during combat operations around the world.
Britain will host 'Ramstein' for the first Time instead of the USA
The next meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the 'Ramstein' format will take place on February 12. It will be chaired by the United Kingdom. Officials will gather ahead of the NATO defense ministers' meeting to discuss priorities for Ukraine and support in the fight against the Russian enemy.
The Ramstein format meeting is a session of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group, which was established by the USA. These meetings are chaired by the USA and bring together defense ministers and representatives of partner countries that provide military assistance to Ukraine.
Ukraine received additional F-16 fighters from the Netherlands
The Ukrainian Air Force received F-16 fighters from the Netherlands. This reinforcement will allow Ukraine to strengthen its defense and counter Russian aggression.
Ukraine has received a second batch of F-16 planes from Denmark. Ukraine needs 200 F-16 fighters for parity with Russia.

The Antimonopoly Committee allowed 'Kyivstar' to acquire Uklon
The Antimonopoly Committee has granted permission to 'Kyivstar' to acquire the taxi service Uklon. The committee concluded that 'Kyivstar's' actions would not lead to structural changes in the transportation market and other services.
