Explosions in Ivano-Frankivsk. Rescuers Report New Details.


Today, on the evening of March 11, an explosion of an unknown object occurred on Pryvokzalna Street in Ivano-Frankivsk near a residential building, resulting in one death and three injuries. This information was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES), citing Glavkom.
The injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances, as rescuers processed the scene.
Later, as rescuers noted, a fire broke out on the roof of a multi-storey residential building on Zaliznychna Street, covering an area of 400 square meters.
'According to preliminary data, the fire occurred due to an explosion on the attic floor. Rescuers evacuated 15 residents from the entrance of the building, and four people were saved. The fire has been extinguished,' the statement said.
It is worth noting that on the evening of March 11, explosions occurred in the area of the railway station in Ivano-Frankivsk. The city mayor Ruslan MartSinkiv stated: 'Due to explosions (possibly firecrackers) near the station, people were killed and a fire broke out. Relevant services are working at the scene. Additionally, an explosion occurred in an apartment nearby, leading to a fire.'
