Ukrainian military journalists celebrate Military Journalist Day in Ukraine, which was initiated in 2018 by the Minister of Defense. The chosen day, February 16, is not accidental, as on this day in 2015, Dmytro Labutkin, who was the editor of the 'Breeze' television and radio studio of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, died.

Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, military journalists have been actively helping to document the historic armed resistance to the invaders, telling the stories of Ukrainian warriors who have been fighting for 11 years and inspiring the nation to continue the struggle - rejecting despair and Russian propaganda, supporting the Armed Forces and becoming the Armed Forces themselves, defending our land and destroying the enemies.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized the contribution of military journalists in the fight against Russian aggression and congratulated them on their holiday. He thanked everyone who helps spread truthful information about this war and works to fill the media space with content about Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, also congratulated military journalists on their holiday and noted that they do their job right on the front lines, in the most dangerous conditions, side by side with our defenders. Each of their materials is a weapon of truth that brings closer justice and our victory.

Military journalists impress, inspire, and strengthen faith in victory. But unfortunately, they often pay the highest price - their lives. We remember the military journalists who died while doing their job.
