55 Hryvnias per kilo: what is happening with prices for sugar, salt, and flour in Ukraine.
Ukraine is facing rising prices for essential food products. According to the Ministry of Finance, the cost of salt, sugar, and flour increased in March 2025 compared to February.
Sugar
The average price for granulated sugar (1 kg) was 35.17 UAH, which is more expensive than the previous month - 34.60 UAH. In various supermarkets, the price of sugar ranged from 32.90 UAH to 42.00 UAH per kilogram.
Salt
The cost of sea salt in March rose to 36.89 UAH per kilogram, which is 1.11 UAH higher than in February. The price difference between stores was 33.88 UAH to 39.90 UAH per kilogram.
Flour
The price of 'Khutoryk' wheat flour decreased. A 1 kg package dropped from 30.44 UAH to 24.99 UAH, while a 2 kg package cost 54.54 UAH compared to 56.67 UAH in February.
Prices for food products continue to rise, becoming a problem for Ukrainian consumers.
