This landmark decision resolves a bitter family dispute, which included attempts by one of his sons to have him declared mentally incapable. The man first married in 1950 and raised three sons. He began a relationship with his secretary in 1971, which he maintained for decades. Following the death of his wife in 2014, long-simmering family tensions came to a head.
