Trump Administration Dismantles 'Green' Sector: Hundreds of Companies Prepare to Leave the U.S.

Clean technologies are considering leaving the U.S. due to funding changes

Companies that received support from the Biden administration are exploring the possibility of leaving the U.S. due to the cessation of funding by the Trump administration. Director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office, Jigar Shah, noted:

'More than 400 companies that received grants and loans during the Biden administration are considering relocating operations abroad.'

A significant number of these companies are looking at the possibility of moving to Europe. They are negotiating with officials in Brussels, as Europe views this as a 'unique opportunity' to attract foreign companies. More than two-thirds of the companies actively exploring these opportunities are headquartered in the U.S. and specialize in clean technology production.

Currently, the carefree policy remains in question. The relocation of companies could promote the Europeanization of the clean technology industry, which may bring substantial benefits to the European Union and the United Kingdom.
