AFU appoints new coach of the women's futsal team: who he is.
According to inkorr.com: At the meeting of the Executive Committee of AFU, it was announced that Oleksandrzolotukhin has been appointed as the acting head coach of the women's futsal team of Ukraine. This news was reported by the press service of AFU.
Zolotukhin has experience in women's futsal: he participated in the victory of the Tesla team at the Ukrainian Championship among women, coached the student team of Ukraine at the European University Games 2022, and headed the Portuguese team International Sport Club.
Success of the national team
Recently, the women's futsal team of Ukraine achieved an important victory over the Azerbaijan team in the qualifying tournament for the World Championship.

In the match against Iceland, the Ukrainian team scored 5 goals and won with a score of 5:3. The goals were scored by Malynovskyi, Hutsuliak, Kaliuzhnyi, and Ocheretko.
In their next match against Azerbaijan, the Ukrainian team played to a draw - 1:1, with the only goal scored by Sudakov.
In the penultimate qualifying match for the 2026 World Championship, the Ukrainian team lost to France with a score of 0:2; the game took place in Wroclaw, Poland.
During the match against France, Ukrainian fans amazed everyone with a huge banner 'Fortress of Europe'.
Oleksandr Zolotukhin, the new acting coach of the Ukrainian futsal team, has significant experience in this sport. The team continues to fight in the World Championship qualifiers, demonstrating good results in matches against other countries.
It is noted that during the World Championship qualifying cycle, the women's team shows active play, despite some losses. The importance of new appointments, such as Zolotukhin's, indicates the team's desire to achieve better results in international competitions.
