How to stop Russia? Hero of Ukraine gave advice to Ukrainians.
To defend the state, young, strong, and enduring guys who could carry heavy things and move quickly are needed. This was stated by the Hero of Ukraine, Major Ruslan Panezyorov. He noted that the average age of a person who comes to defend their state is 40-45 years. It is noted that such soldiers are useful in defense, but they are not very effective during assaults.
In 2014, the military already understood that Russia would not stop and would continue its aggressive actions. Panezyorov compared this situation to a street thug who continues to hit and rob if not put in order. According to him, only when there are many candidates for the position of sapper or shooter, the enemy will understand that aggression is unnecessary due to the presence of people ready to fight.
Panezyorov also noted that many new soldiers come to the forefront, but the main core of professionals is already exhausted from fatigue. He also admitted that with each day in the war, the instinct for self-preservation becomes weaker and sometimes its concentration dulls. Although, according to him, a year of active training is enough to become a top-class sapper.
Panezyorov added that high-precision artillery weapons or remote mining are needed to restrain the occupiers, but unfortunately, these methods are not actively supported at the state level.
