Russian skiers banned from the 2026 Olympics: FIS decision.
According to inkorr.com: On November 8, a tournament of the Professional Wrestling League (PWL) will take place in Moscow, where Japanese wrestlers Yui Susaki and Nonoka Ozaki will compete. Olympic champion Yui Susaki from Tokyo will face Russian Natalia Pudova in the ring. Nonoka Ozaki, bronze medalist of the Paris Olympics, will enter the match against Russian Alina Kasabieva.
Exclusion of Russian athletes from Olympic competitions
The International Ski Federation (FIS) voted against allowing Russians and Belarusians to participate in Olympic qualification competitions. According to the FIS announcement, Russian and Belarusian athletes are excluded from qualifying for the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan. This decision was made to avoid supporting Russian aggression and occupation.
