Patrick Vieira's Dismissal from Genoa
Patrick Vieira has left his position as head coach of Genoa after less than a year in charge. The Arsenal legend departs the Italian club at the bottom of the Serie A table and without a single victory this season. The 49-year-old Frenchman took over the team on November 20 last year and managed to guide Genoa to 13th place in the standings.“We are grateful to Patrick for his work, but unfortunately, the results did not meet our expectations.”Currently, the team is actively seeking a new coach to change the situation and emerge from the crisis. One of the main reasons for Vieira's dismissal was the team's unsatisfactory performance, as they failed to earn a single point in 2023. This decision is part of the management's attempts to return Genoa to the path of success in the top division and to stop a prolonged streak of failures.
