Biden, Macron, Scholz, and Starmer to Meet in Germany to Discuss Support for Ukraine, - Spiegel.
U.S. President Joe Biden plans to visit Germany from October 10 to 12.
According to the German publication Der Spiegel, Berlin police are preparing for the visit of the U.S. president. The Berlin police department is already planning, with special changes and service regimes being coordinated.
This will be Joe Biden's second visit to Germany during his term, but his first full-fledged state visit. The first bilateral visit as president he made in 2022 at the G7 summit in Bavaria.
The German federal government also plans to invite the French president and the British prime minister to meet with Biden. At the meeting, they will likely discuss support for Ukraine. Biden also plans to visit the American military base in Ramstein.
This visit will take place less than a month before the U.S. presidential elections.
Recall that in mid-July, Joe Biden announced the finalization of his candidacy in the U.S. presidential campaign. The Republican candidate is Donald Trump, who already led the White House from 2017 to 2021.
U.S. President Joe Biden also stated at the UN the importance of supporting Ukraine.
