Bloomberg: EU prepares military aid to Ukraine for a record amount.
The EU is preparing a military aid package for Ukraine worth around 20 billion euros
The European Union plans to provide military assistance to Ukraine amounting to about 20 billion euros. This decision has been made to support Ukraine in the context of U.S. President Donald Trump's pursuit of a peaceful resolution to the conflict with Russia.
This aid package includes the supply of artillery ammunition, air defense systems, precision missiles, and drones, as well as strengthening the military training of Ukrainian brigades.
The decision on the aid will be agreed upon during the meeting of foreign ministers next week and then confirmed by EU countries. However, the timelines may be delayed due to opposition from Hungary and the need to analyze the results of the elections in Germany.
Additionally, France is collaborating with the United Kingdom to create European 'guarantee forces' for Ukraine that will ensure the country's security in the event of a ceasefire with Russia.
