An awkward moment for Brian Cox

According to The Sun: Brian Cox revealed his Scottish essence on stage by accidentally exposing his intimate parts.

The 79-year-old actor, known for the series Succession, appeared for an interview on the occasion of the premiere of his new film in a black tartan kilt when news of his incident broke.

Amid laughter from the audience, he joined his knees together, but a few minutes later he exposed himself again.

This incident occurred during the Toronto International Film Festival, after the world premiere of Glenrothan — his debut directorial project about family whiskey distillation.

Cox confidently responded to this awkward moment, explaining to the audience in Canada why he wasn't wearing underwear.

“Whose idea was it to wear these damn kilts? Of course, it wasn't my idea. It was the producer's idea. They can be so vindictive.”

The actor also mentioned that the kilt should be comfortable:

“A kilt should make you cool and free. And it's a hell of a feeling.”

Cox shared that he recently revisited an old episode of the popular American sitcom Friends, where one of the characters often exposes himself, and hoped that such a thing wouldn’t happen to him while wearing a kilt.

“I thought, ‘Oh God, I hope this doesn't happen to me tomorrow when I'm in a kilt.’”

The incident with Brian Cox ended without serious consequences, but it became a bright example of how funny situations can occur even on stage. The actor demonstrated his good-naturedness and ability to laugh at himself, which endeared him to many viewers. This incident is unlikely to affect his reputation, as Brian Cox remains a respected actor and filmmaker. Mishaps in show business are not uncommon, but many of them become a basis for conversation and laughter, which further connects the actor with the audience.
