Jason Fleming receives driving ban

According to The Sun: Actor Jason Fleming, known for his role in the film 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', has lost his driving privileges after being caught speeding — he was driving 24 miles per hour in a zone where the limit was 20 mph.

The 58-year-old actor was stopped in his Kia Sorento in Clapham, southwest London, on December 5. This is already his fourth speeding violation in the past year.

He had accumulated 12 points on his driving license, however, they were not previously revoked due to a clerical error in the court system.

Fleming received a six-month driving ban and a fine of £775.

“I don't want to waste the court's time. I accept what has happened,”
he commented during a hearing at Lavender Hill court.

When asked if he wanted to express any difficulties regarding this, the actor, dressed in a black suit, responded:

“Well, my work and what I do for a living, and my charitable activities depend on the ability to drive. Maybe I should have thought about that before driving 24 miles an hour in a 20 mph zone.”

Fleming rose to fame for his role as Tom in Guy Ritchie's film 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' and has appeared in 'Snatch' and 'From Hell' alongside Johnny Depp.

In 2009, the actor joined the cast of the cult sci-fi drama series ITV 'Primeval' in its third series, playing former police officer Danny Quinn, and returned to this role in 2011.

He has been married to actress and producer Ellie Furman since 2007, who is known for her role in the film 'Blitz' and also starred in the BBC drama series 'Casualty'.

This situation for Fleming becomes an unpleasant episode in his career as the actor draws public attention not only for his roles but also for his actions off stage. The driving ban will affect his personal and professional life, particularly his ability to travel during shoots or charity events.

This case also highlights the importance of adhering to traffic rules for all drivers, regardless of their popularity or status. Fleming, as a public figure, must be aware of the responsibility that lies on him. One can only hope that this incident will serve as a lesson for him and other drivers.
