Frequent performance by Chris Martin at a private party

According to The Sun: Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, received millions for his performance at a private party in Hampshire, which took place just a few days after the band's record-breaking world tour Music of the Spheres.

The band completed a 10-night touring cycle at Wembley Stadium, where more than 13 million tickets were sold worldwide. Total revenues are expected to exceed 1 billion pounds.

This tour became the eighth in Coldplay's career and the largest to date, starting in March 2022.

Performance at the party

At the private event 'Indian Summer', organized by Swiss singer Miel de Botton, Chris performed in front of about 70 guests.

According to The Mirror, his fee reached millions, and reports say he plans to donate this money to charity.

Chris addressed the packed hall, saying: “There were more people in the Wembley bathrooms than here.”

He joked about the end of the tour, stating: “Now I'm unemployed.”

The performance in Hampshire lasted about 90 minutes, and instead of band members, Chris played with a bassist he has known since he was 12 and with female backup vocalists.

The band emphasized that the celebrations lasted over two years, covering 43 countries and over 220 shows.

Although final figures are still being calculated, the band is expected to surpass 1 billion pounds in revenue, making them the highest-paid live act in British history.

Controversies during the tour

The band may now break Sir Elton John's record, whose farewell tours grossed £718 million.

The tour was not without controversies. Earlier this month, Chris faced criticism as Israeli fans were booed at a concert in London.

Also in July, during a show in Massachusetts, a 'kissing cam' captured a romance between a tech company executive and the head of human resources, who were later identified and fired.

Chris joked: “I hope we didn’t do anything wrong.”

The conclusion of the tour at Wembley Stadium was a highlight for Coldplay, emphasizing the success of their career. At the same time, private performances like the party in Hampshire show that the popularity of musicians does not wane even after large-scale tours. Seizing the moment, Chris Martin plans to direct part of his earnings towards charity, which undoubtedly elicits a positive response from fans and society in general.
