Does Trump's policy on Ukraine reflect the sentiments of Republicans: a survey.

The majority of Republicans consider Russia to be an aggressor and do not approve of Russian President Putin, however, the issue of Ukraine is not among their top priorities.

According to a survey conducted by the NGO Razom for Ukraine, 69% of Republicans view Russia as an aggressor, and 83% do not approve of Putin. At the same time, Donald Trump, who leads the Republican Party, is popular among Republicans. Most have a positive view of him and identify themselves as 'Trump Republicans'.

However, Republicans do not consider Ukraine to be among the most important issues. They are more focused on the southern border and countering China. According to a Gallup study, 74% of Republicans want a swift end to the war between Russia and Ukraine, even if Russia retains the occupied territories. Support for the Ukrainian conflict among Democrats has also increased, but not as significantly.

More than half of Americans believe that the U.S. should not help Ukraine regain lost territory, which is a shift compared to previous figures. In light of these results, the views of the White House do not align with those of Republicans and the American public at large.

Appeals to the American government for support for Ukraine filled protests that took place across the country. Hundreds of people gathered to express support for Ukraine in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston. Protests featured posters supporting Ukraine and calls for the necessity to confront Russian aggression.
