The Price of War: Expert Predicts An Inevitable Collapse of the Russian Economy.
On the air of the FREEДОМ TV channel, Doctor of Economics Andriy Dlyhach noted that the Russian economy will not be able to cope with its problems in 2025 and 2026. He believes that the only way out is to acknowledge defeat in the war and appeal to the West for the lifting of sanctions.
Dlyhach stated that the Russian government tried to hide the growth of the budget deficit, but by the end of 2024 it will reach 3-4 trillion. This will lead to a deep crisis and exhaustion of additional financial reserves.
The expert noted that the Russian economy is in a recession and is shrinking, with the exception of the military-industrial complex sector. The problem also exists in the logistics sector, as logistics is currently reoriented towards exporting to Asia, not Europe.
Furthermore, EU and US sanctions have increased the cost of financing operations through foreign currencies and increased inflation. All this indicates that the Russian economy is unable to withstand in the coming years.
According to Dlyhach, Russia has no internal options for solving problems. China is also not helping; it has refused to credit the Russian economy.
Thus, there is only one way out - to acknowledge defeat and appeal to the West for the lifting of sanctions.
