Man promised to 'solve the issue' at the Military Registration Center for dollars — court punished.

A man in Kharkiv was sentenced for attempting to bribe officials to obtain a deferment from mobilization. He received a fine of 408,000 hryvnias according to a court decision published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
Unemployed man wanted to earn money on deferment
According to investigators, the accused contacted a conscript in April 2025 to help solve the issue at the recruitment center. The man asked for 9,500 US dollars for his services and received this amount at a meeting in Kharkiv.
During the court hearing, the accused admitted guilt, expressed remorse, and explained his actions. The court took his sincerity into account as a mitigating circumstance and decided to reduce the punishment to a fine, avoiding imprisonment.
The amount of the fine was determined based on the illegal benefit received by the accused and was set at 408,000 hryvnias at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine. The court also canceled the bail and property seizure, placing the costs for expert examinations on the man.
As a result of the court's verdict, the unemployed man received a fine for attempted bribery and court costs after contacting a conscript with a proposal to obtain a deferment from mobilization in Kharkiv.
