In Kirovohrad region, court judged for coded phrases in Viber: how they masked information about the TCC.
In Kirovohrad region, the court issued a decision regarding a man and a woman who used coded phrases in the Viber messenger to transmit information about TCC patrols.
It turned out that the man created a Viber group 'weather Novoukrainsk' and added a local resident as an administrator. In this group, participants used conditional weather designations to convey the location of TCC and SP employees.
Coded words for masking
- 'sun, no precipitation, clean' — the absence of TCC and police personnel in a certain area;
- 'olives' — presence of police in a certain area;
- 'olive' — presence of TCC personnel in a certain area;
- 'rain, downpour, watering' — joint patrols of TCC and police in a certain area.
Court decision
The court found the defendants guilty and decided that the man receives five years of imprisonment with a conditional term of two years under supervision, while the woman receives five years of imprisonment with a conditional term of one year under supervision.
Recently, the court also found a man in Zaporizhzhia guilty of glorifying Russian occupiers in the messenger, and a woman in Odesa guilty of collaborating with the occupiers' intelligence.
The region is fighting against information sabotage activities, including the disclosure of confidential data about the work of law enforcement agencies and other important institutions.
