Changes in the Champions League broadcast
According to The Sun: Premier League clubs that qualify for the Champions League can receive an additional £30 million per year due to recent changes in broadcasting, but the costs will fall on the fans.
On Thursday, it was announced that the rights to broadcast Champions League matches are transferring to Paramount+, instead of TNT Sport, which was previously controlled by BT Sport.
“This will create new opportunities for clubs, but at the same time it may increase costs for fans”
Such changes may significantly impact the financial situation of clubs participating in European competitions. Increased expenses for fans could lead to changes in match attendance and consumer habits of supporters, which in turn will affect the overall financial balance of clubs.
