The State Duma recognized the failure of the defense of the Kursk region by Russian troops.

Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev accused the Russian military of failing to defend the Kursk region. He noted that they did not prepare and did not build the defense properly. In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the continuation of hostilities in the Kursk region of Russia. During the day, there were attacks in the areas of Martynovka, Birky, Korenevo and Kauczuk, as well as firefights in the areas of Kurilovka, Plekhovo, Lyubimovka, Sudzha, Kositsa, Gogolevka, Kazachya Loknya, Mikhailovka and Sverdlakovka. The operational headquarters of the Kursk region decided to evacuate residents of the Belovsky district, for which additional transport was prepared.
