Diddy Combs' Defense Team Released a Strange Video Before His Sentencing

According to The Sun: The defense team of music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs released an unusual video where he appears as a 'benefactor' ahead of his sentencing. Lasting nearly 12 minutes, the video contains numerous clips of Combs spending time with children, helping elderly people, and giving out money.

One episode shows Combs giving a gift to an elderly woman.

In another clip, he is seen supporting a woman in the hospital.

The video also shows Combs giving $100 to kids.

The 55-year-old music mogul could face up to 20 years in prison after being convicted on two counts of prostitution charges issued in July. His defense team is trying to seek a lighter sentence, asking for only two years of incarceration.

The video, according to reports, will be shown in court to demonstrate Combs’ good character despite his crimes. It starts with a black screen displaying 'Sean Combs,' followed by snippets from his family life.

Combs poses for photos with firefighters, vendors, and young music producers, creating an image of a loving father and respected community member despite the charges. The last four minutes of the video are entirely devoted to his family; in one moment, Combs speaks about his family with tears in his eyes.

The video includes many moments from the rapper's family life.

In his letter to Judge Aruna Subramanian, Combs asked for mercy, apologizing 'for all the pain and suffering I have caused.' He emphasized that he is changing and spent over a year in prison in Brooklyn.

“I literally lost my mind. I’m sorry for that, and I will always carry this with me.”
“My domestic violence will always be a heavy burden I will have to carry forever.”

He also mentioned the attack on his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, which was part of the charges in court.

In the footage, Combs is seen running alongside children.

Combs explained that his actions were a result of drug use, claiming that he 'lost his way' and that 'the trouble lies in selfishness.' He added that 'the old him died in prison, and a new version was born.'

Several of his prison mates provided positive written testimonies on his behalf, noting that he organized educational classes. Combs held weekly sessions titled 'Free Classes with Diddy,' discussing entrepreneurship and the opportunities of fame and money.

The audiences at the classes were filled with grateful listeners who stated that Combs ‘brought love into the department.’

“This is the key factor and insider knowledge of how Mr. Combs started from scratch and became a successful businessman.”

In July, Combs became the center of attention during an eight-week trial, where he was charged with crimes spanning a decade in the music industry. He was found guilty on two counts of transporting for prostitution but was acquitted of more serious charges of racketeering and human trafficking.

He now faces up to 20 years behind bars, although prosecutors believe he should be sentenced to a maximum of 11 years.

Janice Combs, Sean 'Diddy' Combs' mother, arrives at the courthouse.

Combs was known for his lavish parties with Hollywood stars in the 90s and 2000s.

The rapper remains at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) following multiple bail denials.
