Mikel Arteta's request to the league management
According to The Sun: Mikel Arteta has appealed to the Premier League management for assistance in addressing Arsenal's holiday match schedule. The Gunners are now forced to play twice in three days since their quarter-final match in the Carabao Cup against Crystal Palace has been postponed to December 23. The date change occurred at the request of Palace to move the game from the previously scheduled December 16.
'This is a very difficult situation for us,' said Arteta.
The team is seeking support to resolve this issue in order to avoid overloading the schedule and ensuring players receive adequate rest. During the holiday period, when matches follow one another, such situations occur quite often, so Arteta's appeal may be the key to a more comfortable schedule for Arsenal.
