How to Make Lemonade with Citrus and Mint for the Winter
According to Novyny.live: UNIAN has shared a straightforward recipe for making lemonade with citrus and mint that can be preserved for winter. This drink is perfect for those who want to enjoy a refreshing taste during the colder months, requiring no complex steps or special skills.
Ingredients and Preparation
To prepare this lemonade, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 orange
- 2 slices of lemon
- 200 g of sugar
- 2 sprigs of mint
- 3 liters of water
It is worth noting that the beverage develops its best flavor 2–3 weeks after preparation.
The method is quite simple. Start by thoroughly washing a jar and rinsing it with hot water. Then slice the orange and lemon into rounds, removing any seeds if possible. Rinse the mint under running water. Place the citrus slices, mint, and sugar at the bottom of the prepared jar.
Bring the water to a boil and pour it over the contents of the jar, filling it to the top. Immediately seal the jar with a lid, turn it upside down, and shake it gently to help the sugar dissolve faster. Then wrap the jar in a blanket and leave it to cool completely. Store the finished drink in a cool place.
This lemonade recipe can be a wonderful addition to a winter table, as it not only refreshes but also serves as a base for various cocktails. Moreover, preparing the drink this way helps preserve the aromas of summer fruits for a long time, which is especially valuable during the cold season.
