The US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of purchasing Greenland and is conducting negotiations on this matter. This information was reported by the publication Bild.
According to the article, this possibility has become relevant for Trump again and is being discussed in his administration.

Greenland belongs to Denmark, and at the Time of Trump's statements, they were allies of the US. Therefore, Trump had reasons to dream about acquiring the island.
Trump noted: 'We have strong allies in Denmark, we protect them. When this concept arose, I said: Strategically, this is interesting, and we would be interesting.'
However, after Joe Biden took office as President of the United States, this idea was shelved. Now, with Trump's return, the purchase may become a reality. But Danish lawmakers are categorically against selling Greenland to the US. One of them, Rasmus Jarlov, even requested amendments to the constitution to prohibit the sale of the island.
Republican congressman Mike Collins from Georgia published a draft electoral map showing Greenland and the voting area for the Republican Party. The caption under the draft: 'Project 2029'.
Deputy Rasmus Jarlov responded to this idea, saying: 'Greenland's independence requires approval from the Danish parliament and a change to our constitution. I can guarantee you that there is no chance of approving the independence idea so that you could buy Greenland. It is a good fantasy, but forget about it.'

Attempts by the US to purchase Greenland have been ongoing for several centuries, with the idea of buying the island first emerging in 1867.
The Manhattan District Attorney's Office has decided to postpone the announcement about the punishment for future US President Donald Trump in the case of bribing a porn star.
