Dario Vitale will lead Versace from 2025

After nearly 30 years of leadership, Donatella Versace is stepping down as creative director at Versace.

She announced this on the brand's Instagram, thanking her team and expressing excitement for her successor, Dario Vitale, who will become head of the fashion house from April 1, 2025.

'It has always been important for me to support the next generation of designers. I am very happy that Dario Vitale is joining us, and I look forward to seeing Versace through new eyes. I want to thank my incredible design team and all the Versace employees I have had the honor of working with for over three decades.'
'It has been the greatest honor of my life to continue my brother Gianni's work. He was a true genius, but I hope I have a bit of his spirit and enthusiasm. In my new role as brand ambassador, I will remain the most passionate supporter of Versace. Versace is in my DNA and always in my heart,' wrote Donatella.

For his part, Dario Vitale thanked Donatella for her trust and called his appointment a great honor.
